I would love to know the thickness of steel inside the charcoal chute. I can see this selling fast.

As a GF owner, this video makes no sense.

In the comments on the Youtube video Masterbuilt says in the replies that it will be in Walmart and other stores next month. If the price is $500 then it could be pretty sweet to pick it up in February for $100 on a Brickseek search.

I had to watch a couple more times. The chute doesn't look to be insulated. I guess that's the reason for the slotted surround around the chute (protects against burns). The fan seems to be used to push flames into the cook chamber when grilling and as an ATC when smoking. At $500 compromises had to be made.

Looks like the fuel would get soaked in a rain squall.

If it can hold temp, I'm interested for sure. I wanted to get into a GF, but can't spend the high $ for one.
I always thought it was kind of ironic that lots of us spend tons of money to smoke, what used to be, the cheapest cuts of meat. It was always a way for those who had little, to still eat well.

Look on Craigslist. I suspect plenty of them will fall off the truck.

I can spend more money but that doesn't mean I can cook better. $500 opens the gf market to everyone. Right now $2500 will get you the smallest gf.

I Want to Believe. But it's tough.

$500.00 is too good to be true, right? But maybe....?

It's not a $2500.00+ gravity fed- but does it have to be to be to fulfill a niche? Masterbuilt thinks so.

Sooner or later, there will be on-hand reviews. Will be interesting.
