Default UDS #8 (again)

Here is the latest UDS I have built and sold. Each one is the same but slightly different from the last. Some of the common items are the single slide intake, charcoal basket and grill grates, all custom made. The use of acorn nuts to give it just a little bling. I got some inspiriation from a fellow Brethren WombleNC for his stacks and closers along with his use of the side table as the handle if you will with the wheels being opposite. Makes moving very easy as well as stable. Again thanks to all who post here making it a great website.

Still having trouble uploading pics hope this works...

Thanks! The wife wasn't too crazy about the smoke for some reason! lol Actually didn't even get to fire it up. I made it and sold it. Good news is when dropping it off I have another to build.... :)

Couldn't have done it without all the contributions of everyone on this site!

I've been trying to figure out a way to put wheels on mine. Any more detailed pics? Description and/or parts list?

That is pretty sweet. I'm loving the dual exhaust. I take it that slide open intake is a 4 barrel carb ... err I mean 4, 3/4" holes?

And yeah I agree on the cooking rack. That is top notch!

Default Intake

They are 4 1" holes. That is equal to PI in terms of surface area. The guy i built it for actually was wanting me to use a throttle body for the intake just couldn't find one cheap enough to use.

Thanks. The grates are 3/4 #9 expanded with a 3/4: x 1/8" flat wrapped around it. No food rolling off now. :)

Default Wheels

Here are a couple of pics of how I do my wheels and feet. Disregard the single foot in the one photo. I use two. I also weld a piece of 1/8" or 3/16" or whatever i have on hand flat bar across the bottom of the rim instead of the bottom of the barrel. The bottoms are never flat and make it a PIA to get level.
For the "axel" i use a piece of 1" angle welded upside down on the rim of the barrel and use 2 pieces of 3/8" all thread about 5" long or so for the wheel to roll on. I use lock nuts to keep them from coming off when moving around. I try to make the wheels just stick outside the diameter of the barrle to help with stability. Also try to get the feet as wide as possibe for this reason as well. Pretty simple really.

That looks awesome! Love the stacks!

In fact, if you don't mind I might just make the chimney on my build that way.
