Not sure what is customary in these situations, but we will be giving our ribbon to the rightful owner next time we see them.
 
Anyone care to share what the scoring issue was for those of us not in the know?

what??? I had to read this twice and I still dont understand, did someone cook so well that they broke the scoring system?
 
The way I understand it is the low score wasn't dropped from the individual category scores. The overall was correct strangely enough.
 
Oh, wow...that sucks! Are they going to correct that for everyone? It would seem to me that a full correction would be the right thing to do. I have no idea how these things are handled.

All teams that scored in the top ten have been contacted by KCBS. Anyone due more money will recieve a check from KCBS for the difference. Anyone that recieved more was asked to return the difference. I did not hear about what they were doing about ribbons and banners.

Wow...what an ugly situation. I hope everyone steps up and does the right thing. I wouldn't be able to display a ribbon or trophy I didn't earn. And money not rightfully mine would be quick to go to the rightful owner.

Too bad teams had to be put in this situation and sad that it doesn't sound like the first time at this event. Hopefully any common factors can be fixed.
 
To my knowledge it was the first time at this event ... just not events Ryan attends.:crazy:

Yes, three different events I have attended as well as a particular KCBS rep. Yep, probably my fault as the computer doesn't know how to score straight 10's, goes stupid and shuts down. :wink:
