Default That Costco Business Is Trouble I Tell Ya--More Pastrami Pron

Walked in to Costco Business a couple weeks back and saw Morton's black Angus corned brisket flats on clearance

Briskets up the ying yang too. Choice, Prime you name it. Tempting but I have to room plus I have some Creesktones in the freezer still

Anyway I soaked a day or two before and put in on the 26

Butcher paper when I hit my desired color

Right off the grill minus a little bit of rest

Insanely moist

Got enough for a couple of piled high sammiches like they do at local diners here

Fresh baked rolls from the bakery not too far from me

Mustard, pickles

Pastrami of course

And why not? Some pickled jalapenos

Served

Just nuts!! I'm hooked on pastrami

Thanks for looking!

To draw out some of the salt. Too salty when smoking out of the package since it's corned beef (same cure for pastrami). Change the water a few times too. 1-2 days depending what you like.

Thanks! Finally home for the whole Memorial weekend. Don't usually get any holidays off during the year so I'm pushing through.

Suppose it's a good problem to have but I tend to grab a bunch of things and not being able to smoke/cook them for a while.

Whoa!

$1.99/lb! Get outta town! I'd have a non-stop pastrami makin' enterprise at that price point.

The pastrami looks good, Sako... but with those rolls... I'd fight someone for one of those sammiches.

Keep crushing it, brother.

Thanks brother! Yea no complaints at 1.99 for angus flats and literally no waste. Just soak and toss on the smoker. I vac packed the other two. One will go to my bro and one for me to use later.

The liquid has too many carbs.

You're talking to a single guy, with 2 deep freezes. I know the problem. Been doing my best to cook from them, instead of buying new. It's just so hard to pass up a bargain.

But just think of how much more variety I could have, if I had a Costco Business.
