Default A few boxes

Here are three boxes I put together yesterday. I would really appreciate comments, scores, and any help I can get. I did chicken but the pieces were too large for 6 to fit, so I didn't post. Had a lot of trouble with timing, but thankfully we will have a few more practice runs before the first event.

The brisket is nice looking - however try to carve the brisket before cooking, the cut off slices just does not make me want to reach out and grab it. 7

The ribs look awesome - try to line up the ribs so they look like a slab, it just makes it nicer. 8

The pork looks great - but a lot of sauce. 8

Also a little trick - clean the sauce around the box so it does not draw my attention from the meat.

The ribs do look good. how did you cook them - looks like some charring - was it an offset.

I'll give it a shot.

Not in order of importance.

All three boxes - the garnish is ragged along the edges and uneven in depth. This give an impression of being hurried and sloppy. The meat shows a lot of promise.

Brisket: The brisket itself looks well cooked and tender, but the squared off ends distract. Much better to trim to fit the box prior to cooking and don't leave square edges which look unnatural. I would also suggest moving the meat more toward the front so it is a bit more centered. 6

Ribs: They look very good with great color, but look like they came from two different sized racks. Some are cut unevenly and some have their ends buried in the garnish. Still, I want to take one out and eat it right now. 7

Pork: The pork itself looks great. The garnish really hurts the appearance. Knocks it down from what could have been a high score. Wanna give it more but a 7.

Brisket - 7. I agree with the advice of trimming the brisket before you cook. Other than that it looks great.
Ribs - 8. If they were lined up a little more, I might go higher.
Pork - 7. Looks good. A little more attention to detail (lining up the sliced pork better) would gave gotten you an 8.

Brisket - 8, they fit nicely and look very nice. Two things may have helped it get to a 9 pre-trim the brisket width and add in burnt ends - I did not count down based on this

Ribs - 7, the ribs do look pretty nice but the back ones seem a lot smaller. Make sure to clean your box and adding a bit of parsley to the very front and front right corner may have also helped.

Pork - 7, very saucy, hard to see the meat grains or actual color (gray vs pink) - take a minute to arrange the box a bit more next time so it looks a little more uniform

Great advise so far, I really appreciate it. The ribs, and all of it was done on the Backwoods Fatboy. The ribs were just rubbed with Bovine Bold and cooked for 5 hours, then pulled and glazed with the sauce I posted on the sauce thread earlier today.
Again thanks.

as a judge,,,,

I would give the brisket a 8, if you had atleast one side that wasn't cut to fit, and filled the box, 9.

ribs, 8 again, if looked more like a slab, 9

on the pork 7, I would assume it got tossed around allitle, no biggy, but way to much sauce, ,, but I am impressed with money muscle, and the pulled pork. maybe a 8.
