Just the standard Smokenator / Hovergrill / PartyQ setup for me. This cook has a pork butt in the bottom, 2 racks of spares and a few beef bones with room to spare.

My question is, will 16 lbs of butt fit on a 22? I am contemplating whether I pull out my big smoker this weekend or just use the kettle to smoke 2-8lb butts.

And a drawing that has been around for a long time. Unless you want to cook at the lowest temps, the water pan is not needed and burns up more fuel.

Perfect timing, Richard!
I'm getting ready to smoke a loin for Canadian bacon.
12 day brine, getting ready for the Weber using the charcoal snake with hickory chips and a water pan in the center.
Beautiful day for smoking!

A homemade sawdust and paraffin starter gets things going.

Obviously pictured when new… but snagged a standard sized SnS Deluxe during a killer sale they held last year. I’ve had this setup before, but it has become my fave low n slow kettle setup :)
