I had not had frog legs since I moved up to the NE a few years ago, so when I came across some, I had to grab them. They were nice sized, the four weighed a little over a pound.

Rinsed them off and gave them the once over to make sure there wasn't anything in need of a trimming.

The one on the right was much darker than the others, not sure why, or even if that is any cause for concern.

Hit them with a shot of EVOO and sprinkled with Yardbird.

Into the smoker they went. 275 or so with some cherry wood for the smoke. Checked on them every so often during a break from working on the son's Jeep. Probably and hour - hour and 1/2 they looked done.

They were pretty tasty, but one set had a much stronger flavor than the others, I assume it was the dark one, but don't know that for a fact.

Naturally, it was the one my wife tried. Oh well, more for me.

Looking good; I tried some on the grill once, and my wife was not smitten, to say the least.
I'll have to try your method. Thanks.

I'd be hard pressed not to fry frog legs like that. Luv 'em.
Pretty sure I'd have to split them in half tho.
I ain't sayin' why???
