Contest Announcment Kick-Off Cook-Off Returns, Hazelwood, Mo. April 24-25

The Kick-Off Cook-Off is returning for 2009. We have moved the date back a month for various reasons. We are having the contest on April 24-25. Once again we will be in the parking lot next to the St. Louis Mills Cabela's location.

Our prize pool this year is $4,000 - we are getting there! Once again we are raising money for the Childhood Cancer Campaign.

We are adding a backyard event for those of you who want to give it a try.

Hey everyone,

Looking at the weekend forecast for this weekend (weekend we had the contest last year) I am glad we had to move, rain and snow. Yuck. Those that were there last year thought the weather was bad

Anwyway I have 24 teams now so just one more and I have a qualifier.

There was confusion with the last KCBS bullsheet. Some people thought the contest is on April 17-18 - It is not, the contest is being held on April 24-25.

I received word today that we have an electricity solution.
Cabelas will be renting 2 of the Commercial sized generators for us to use.
That should be plenty of electric.
