Christmas gift from my son. Jar is about a gallon size. Quite a bit of wood in it.

I am not sure what type of wood it is, says Apple enhanced. Does that mean it is Apple Wood:confused:

Hmmmm....

What will they think of next?

I wonder what would happen if you used the flavor enhanced chips on some enhanced pork?

I think those are oak chips soaked in an apple "brine". There's a dude that makes those in Victoria, TX. I have never used them, but let us know how it turns out.

Let us know what you think of them.

I've been buying Oak Wine Barrells the had Cabernet Sauvignon and have been using them chunked in the Egg, Drum, WSM's and Kettles and the flavor isn't noticeable to me, but I used them in my Cookshack 008 and a couple serious wine fanatics commented on the Rib Roast and the Red wine flavor in the smoke before I even mentioned using them, it really shined. Got a line on some Syrah Barrells coming soon.
