Default Dang, I just love tri-tip!

I cooked a tri-tip tonight on the Hasty Bake over oak. Did a sear at the end. The wife and I agree that our 2 favorite beef cuts are Rib Eye and Tri-Tip. Damn good! This tri-tip had Suzie Q's Santa Maria rub on it. Friggin' awesome!

That looks perfect! Tri-Tip is one of my favorites as well. Great job on the smoke.

I made tri tip last week for the first time for a party. I must say, for that buffet style setting, Tri Tip works better than ribeye, cause after 20 some minutes the meats are getting cold, and the tri tip still taste great cold. But not ribeyes.

Awesome, Marty! Couldn't have done it better myself.

So do you prefer the Hasty Bake over your Santa Maria for Tri-Tip?

Only been regularly finding tri-tip the last year or two in my part of Texas (or maybe wasn't lookin' in the right places) and it's become one of my favorite cuts. Great lookin' grub there Marty!

Looking awesome. You nailed it. We had tri-tip last night for our son and his wife. She grew up in San Diego so we wanted to provide her some comfort food. Tri tip was a big hit as always.
