2009 BBQ Brethren Throwdown Hall of Flame

These are the winners of the 2009 Throwdowns!

While not every Throwdown was actually held in 2009, these are the first 52 Categories which equates to a years worth of Throwdowns. Since these ended in late 2009, and were used in a vote off to determine the photos used in the 2010 BBQ Brethren Throwdown Calendar, these are lumped together as the 2009 winners!

Also, due to the limitation of only 50 photos allowed per post, the pictures are broken into two different posts.

Honestly, someone should be working on a Throwdown cookbook. That collection HAS to be something a publisher would go crazy for. I'll donate mine to the cause. All proceeds to the forum funds.

I'm with you. If someone has those skills and contacts I'd go in too. Maybe we could also put some some of the proceeds aside for a "Hardship Fund" where it could be used for Brothers or Sisters that have gone through a difficult time.

Man, I wish I knew the guys that can cook like that. No wonder I can't win a Throwdown. The truth is, if we had photos like that, a cookbook would sell like crazy.

edit: as an aside, can you believe how good that potato shot of Skidder's looks? I mean, that is an incredible photo of a rather simple plain thing, it is a potato.

Book with the recipes sounds like a winner. Do any Brethren have connections in the publishing field? Maybe Dr BBQ could put a good word in to his publisher. Just a thought.
