Newbie UDS build
Thanks to everyone who has contributed here. I just built my first UDS, and this forum was invaluable. I finished it tonight at about 2300 EST, and yes, I most definitely hit it with some lard and fired it up. Thanks again to everyone here.

I love how you have yours in the house! My wife would barely let me take mine in the garage! Just kidding... looks good - fire that thing up this weekend and show us what it can do!

I sandblasted the barrel down, inside and out. Ran it last night with just kingsford and a few cherry chunks and a coat of lard on the inside. Firing it up right now for a couple of racks of ribs on her maiden voyage.

What's wrong with having it in the house? My wife came home from work to find me drilling holes in my UDS on the kitchen floor (oops!!!). It was way too hot to do it outside! She got over it after eating the great grub that came out of it.
By the way, great looking build.
