Here you all go.... this one was a blast.... Extremely well organized, and a lot of great teams. It was a pleasure to meet all the Brethren, and cook against you, and in some case, beat you....

Hope all that got some of the magic mojo enjoyed it, as you got calls again this week..... so I am going to have to rethink this one....

So, with that said, here is the link to my pics, and the results....

http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/inde...ndID=259076266

Now when you look at them, I have highlighted mine... notice the two pork categories... and remember I am allergic to pork, and CAN NOT taste what I turn in......

question on KCBS brisket turnins - I tried to not use any slices that had fat in my turnin box. Does a little fat - like a slice between the flat and point count againist you?

Great job, Bill. Glad you and Nite Hog both got calls.
See, this time Al and I both drank from the magic java pot and scored our first 1st place call.

Not a problem helping and giving advice. I am sure, that if you had asked others, they would most likely have done the same.... that is what it is all about. But of course, every once in a while, you will run into a team that will not even give you the time of day....

Are you sure it wasn't maybe the other way around

With a first place call, you are really hooked now, right????

I am going to have to rethink this magic mojo coffee pot thing..... maybe decaf for everyone else, and the real stuff for me...

I stopped by the fair grounds on Saturday. Didn't know who was who as far as "Brethren" so I spoke to Rub and he told me Smoke-n-my-i's was a couple of sites down. Nice to meet you.

Sorry I didn't know who else was there since nobody seemed to have the pig on display but me and all I had was my tired old hat!!

Nice cookoff, plenty of crafters and it appeared a lot of folks showed up. I spoke with some folks at one of the gem mines and they were planning on heading to the cook off on Saturday.

Personally, I don't vend when competing, but the folks that did vend had plenty of customers. Something else I noticed, NO PIG BUCKS...cash was accepted.

Oh yeah, it was HOT at the fair grounds. If you plan on doing this one bring plenty of water (other beverages, too, but definately plenty of water).

Great to meet you Bill, I should have taken you up on the cup-o-joe. My chicken took a pounding
I wish I would have met the other Bretheren out there, I'm trying to get better at identifying who's who, but still have a ways to go.
Congrats to all who were called. We're planning on going back next year, see you there!
