You won’t regret it. Leftovers the next two days were equally good. Yogurt sauce got better with time and added a lil red onion which also added nicely to the overall flavor...

By far the best!

made the bread thick so it made pita pockets

Looks good!

I like the pita idea. Did you use the same bread recipe, and just leave them thicker? If so, did they cook through in the skillet only?

I let it rise in the fridge over night

roll with rolling pin

med heat let cook on skillet till bubbles form (dont want black spots)

flip and the pita should inflate

It's always good to see other recipes, I'll have to give this one a try. Here's the pita recipe I've been using:

Saving this one! We've been doing a lot of similar chicken. Indian, Greek, etc. Excited to make my own breads.

Wow - I’m aiming to make Shawarma this weekend. Found this exact recipe but thought I’d check the brain trust here for Shawarma ideas a voila! you did the exact same recipe! Glad to hear it’s good I’m on it this weekend.
