Well, the end of the world is coming in just 10 days. That doesn't really give me much time to prepare. Not really enough time to put a bomb shelter in. REALLY not enough time for me to get right with the Lord. Given the wait to see a doctor, it's not even enough time for me to get in to see a Doc and get a Viagra prescription in order to give the wife a real end of universe send off.

So I guess the only thing worth getting ready for is a smoke. Who else is cookin' on the 21st to usher out the end of the world? What ya cookin'?

Given I've never done one, I'm leaning toward a butcher paper brisket. Why not eh? I might even eat a vegetable.

So who else is gonna send off the world with a little smoke?

Well, ya know I haven't thought about it. I think they are off by about 4 or 5 days, so I was gonna smoke a standing rib roast for Christmas and say a nice prayer. Prayers don't hurt ......

Well I would go rack up the credit cards with $$$ worth of fine grilling gear and meats. But after that Y2K debacle, I'll wait and see what happens. Besides, 2013 should be a lucky year, right? right?

LOL!!
I don't know what I'll be cooking but all I gotta say is that I'm gonna be cooking up a storm on the 22nd just to give the world a nice big FARK YOU!!:moon:

Man, I'm a sour apple!!

I promised the people I work with that if they donated $250.00 to Movember in 4 hours, I would cook them an old school, all oak wood smoked BBQ dinner.

Well, they raised $300.00 in 4 hours so I will be cooking brisket, pork, chicken, Brunswick Stew, cole slaw, and a few other goodies for them to be served next Monday.

People in my nephew's company asked me to cook their Christmas dinner. So, I will be cooking BBQ ribs, chicken, and some chili for them on the 21st of December. All proceeds from that will go to charity too.

Nothin on the 21st,I am going to Starkville Ms to watch my baby boy be commissioned into the U.S.ARMY,INFANTRY,as a 2nd lieutenant,It is what he wanted and worked hard for it,I AM a proud Pappa. After that,oh Lawd,I got more cooks to do than I have time til New Year's!!!!

Congrats, Hoss! Give your boy a hug for me.
My son will be home on leave from the Army, so there'll be a lot of smoking going on. He's specifically requested a brisket, and I've been dying to do a duck, among other things. So, we'll see what ends up landing on the 21st.

Oh FARK, I need to borrow a few more Webers! I'm gonna start thawing 600# of hereford and call all of the brethren!!!! Who's got beer?!?!

a huge pile of chuck eyes with grilled garlic bread, wine and some Candian Club. Probably have a cigarette as well. smoke free for 3 years. and that is if the world actually was going to end

Plenty of time to cure and smoke some bacon!

You could always enter the End of the World Throwdown!:thumb:

Oh, wait...that TD was accidentally destroyed in a cosmic fluke of Moose-like proportions.

In a pinch, I like burgers.

I'll be working out of town that day. I'll be doing a job I'll never get paid for.
