I don’t know what the current count is and I need to check all the entries I've missed today. Here is my contribution towards the burger record and my entry for zero consideration. I made my version of a MOINKburger.

Meet the Meats.

Luckily I’m not in a union shop otherwise I would have had to call in a Journeyman Mohel for this next step.

First I ground the 7 bone pot roast.

Then I ground the skinned Chorico.

Then I mixed them to distribute the meat, fat and pork then another grind to acquaint them with one another.

Oh yeah I also made some California fries as a side.

The burgers were seasoned with Big Butz Cow Pow (great stuff) then thrown on the avocado over lump.

The buns were toasted and patties toped with bacon and pepper jack cheese.

The assembled burger plated with some peppered freedom fries and California fries.

And a sliced shot showing all the goodies.

The burger was the best ever, the fresh ground chuck and chorico went really well together and the Cow Pow added just the right amount of spices.:thumb:

The California fries surprised me they were off the chains good, yes they were bacon rub seasoned panko crusted avocados, thanks for looking.

All hail the SirPorkaBurger!:hail: I thought I had seen some over the top burgers...but pork belly??? Wow!

The Aussie PURE BURGER

G'Day Bruces' :becky:

I've been seeing so many awesome entries here, that I just had to have a go! :thumb: Winning, losing, whatever,... does not matter one shred here. I just wanted to participate. :clap2:

It's been quite a while since I entered a TD... but not through choice. I've been a busy SmokinAussie this year and you entries have inspired me :clap::clap:

Last time I entered a Burger, it was stacked a mile high. I won the TD....

This time... I'm going Pure and Simple thanks to the Brethren.

I Started with a Chuckie and Some Beef Short Rib..

I deboned the short rib and ended up with this...

Then I added the same weight of Chuck Steak... mmmmmmmm... and added some salt and pepper..

Passed both cuts through the grinder on a 3/8 plate ( the largest I have).

Cooked up a sample for a taste test...

Then ran it through the grinder a second time using the same plate.

Then I weighed these out to 8 Oz Patties:

Perfect...

I ended up with 12 of these Monsters!:biggrin1:

DSC_0224.jpg

I prepared the Performer for an indirect Burger grill... with a short sear at the end..

DSC_0225.jpg

Which resulted in this...:becky:

DSC_0226.jpg

Which is what I was after... look at the juices on that Burger!!! :thumb::pray:

The the burgers got a quick direct sear..
DSC_0228.jpg

And were rested with some simple cheddar cheese.
DSC_0231.jpg

I toasted some buns...

And assembled a PURE AUSSIE BURGER....

DSC_0236.jpg

Purely, I wanted the burger to speak for itself. The Short Rib and Chuckie mix, with nothing but Salt and Pepper, was awesome...

Never before, have I had a burger that tasted of real steak:pray::pray::pray:

I kept the rest very simple... Bread Roll, PURE BURGER... Cheese, Spanish Onion, Tomato, Iceburg Lettuce... No sauce.

Let the Burger speak for itself..:thumb:

Thanks for looking... And thanks for the inspiration..

You guys are awesome!

Cheers!

The Burger Benedict

Here is my contribution...I call it... The Burger Benedict.

I started by grinding a mix of beef short rib, top round, and chuck. Formed them into 6 oz patties and grilled them over medium heat for about 3 1/2 minutes a side. While they were cooking, I sautee'd up some asparagus, made a hollindaise sauce, poached some eggs to a medium yolk and toasted some buttered buns.

I layered the burgers by putting a little hollandaise ont he bottom bun, then a layer of asparagus, the meat, the poached egg, a slice of tomato and then drizzled more hollandaise over it and topped with the to bun.

I must say, this was one of the best burgers I've ever cooked and ate. If I ever had a resaurant, this would be on the menu for sure!!!
