Default New & lookin for a new dry rub to try

We've got the KU vs K-State showdown this weekend, so I picked up a couple pork butts today and figured since I'm pretty new here, that I'd call on the brethren to point me in the direction of a popular dry rub recipe or brand for me to try.

I recently started injecting too, so injection and mop recipes are welcome as well.

Here's one I did a few weeks ago for a Chiefs game -too bad we sucked sooooooo hard!

Cheers

Simply Marvelous, Big Brother Smoke on here is in my opinion the Best OTC rub you can buy. All of his flavors are good on everything.

If you want something flavourful but not sweet, Original Rub from The Rub Company.
I love this stuff!

I don't know how much of a showdown it is going to be....

Anyway, all the suggestions are great. I suggest searching the forum for "Foil Hat Rub". It is fantastic.

Now, with that said, I usually don't use too fancy of a rub on pork butt because it always seems to get lost in the porky deliciousness. It just seems like kind of a waste. However, on anything else, go for it.

Found it:

How about Google a basic rub and modify it more towards your liking.

If can't find one of suggested OTC rubs, here's one I have used many times for pulled Pork : http://www.bbq-brethren.com/forum/sh...ad.php?t=38865

Cheers.
