Default My Family Story, the Epilogue. The brethren & sistren helped teach a lesson.

After our family week, our grandchildren (who live in Virginia) came home with us for a couple of weeks. During that time, they have helped Grandma bake bread, helped me do up some ribs, and all sorts of fun stuff. In the meantime, all of your wonderful comments and stories kept adding to our humble story. This afternoon, I sat MacKenzie down and had her read the entire thread. Part way through, she said "Grandpa you're trying to make me cry. Some of these people lost their grandparents already". That led to an entire discussion about the importance of what she learned and how valuable the lesson was. I had the opportunity to explain to her that what she learned from that day came from a tradition that was literally over 100 years old from family long gone before her. The light came on. Thanks all for helping to make that impression!

The best part is that MacKenzie "got it", she's the kind our future needs. Thank you for sharing.

Thank you for the epilogue, Sir.
