I've used it in my WMS and in the drum, mixed with lump, and haven't had a problem. Consistent temps (230 in WSM - 240ish in UDS) and good burn times. Maybe I'm lucky - only bought two bags so far.

Alright, I want to just admit that I was wrong. I used 2 bags of Sam's Choice Briqettes over the weekend, and it is crap. Maybe I forgot how bad the ash production was because I hadn't used it in awhile, but 2 bags filled up over 1/2 of my 36 gallon garbage can with ash. After that I moved back to the Royal Oak Lump I had in the garage and all is now right with the world. Went to Wallys and got 7 more bags of Royal Oak Lump so I wouldn't be tempted to stray based on price again anytime soon.

Will be using this post to remind myself in the future to stick with RO Lump or some brand of Lump going forward....
