Default Anyone ever used a salt block?

Saw one of these in a local spice store, and reading about it it sounds lke could be really awesome, but wondering from anyone that has if there is a risk of "over" salting with it. I just got my Akorn this last Sunday and am looking for things to use with it, and this popped up on the radar.

I saw a dude heat his up in a weber. The grill shrimp on it and he said it was great. I think it was a hymalian salt block.

Never used one personally.

I use one all the time. It sits in my stable with my big Grey thoroughbred. He is always licking it.
