Have a buddy who bought a backwoods on craigslist, he is a newby and bought it knowing the backwoods smoker name but that's about the extent of his knowledge. He has sent me a few pics and I'm trying to figure out what model he has. Its about the size of the Chubby, but the door latches are magnetic (no slam latches) without gaskets, and the chimney does not protrude above like every backwoods I've seen. The chimney exhaust comes out the BACK towards the top. Also the thermometer is on the TOP of the unit?? No obvious intake in the traditional backwoods style, from the pics I'm guessing its a fixed intake on the bottom edge of the firebox door. Just what strange Backwoods animal has he gotten himself into?? I've never seen one like it!
