Other then the flies.. my favorite contest of year. Great event for families. We actually stay the week after at a nice campground up there. You also have the Hudson valley distillery up there. Awesome bourbon. Nice people run the event. People who actually are usually smiling.

Supposedly, since the flies have compound eyes the refracted light from the water along with the reflection from the 6 or so pennies screws with them enough that they won't come near it.
