Competition Canopy - Eurmax
We are looking for a new canopy this year. There were a couple threads last year that people were happy with the Caravan and Undercover models. I found a brand that seems similar in build quality. The company is call Eurmax (www.eurmax.com).
Has anyone else heard of them, owned or used any of their canopies? Thanks guys !!!

Can't say about eurmax but I've had a EzUP Express2 for several years w/ no problems & 2 quickshade weekenders that crumpled in broke in a fairly good breeze one was brand new OOB to boot. My vote would be the EzUP Express2 that has the straight legs & internal frame.

Also, I know that guys have good luck with the cheap canopies from Walmart, Sam's, etc, but I've seen to many of those collapse under the weight of heavy rain. Strong winds can damage any canopy, but in general the stronger the frame the more they will stand up to. Our Undercover has been in heavy use for 5 years and occasional use for two years before that. It has been through more storms than I can remember and is still going strong.

Not sure as I've not really looked at what's Sams has. I got mine at Academy for about $120-150 (on sale sometimes in the off season). If it's straight legged w/ an internal crossbraced frame w/ a single pole at the center to hold the canopy up then I'd assume it's the same model.

We just got a car port. Used it for our last comp last season. A Bit** to put up and take down, but awesome coverage.

Our cook got an Undercover before our last competition after we lost a Coleman to the wind. It seems to be a lot more well constructed than the Coleman. The joints are more reinforced and the frame seems to be higher quality.
I think the Coleman lasted six competitions, so it ended up basically costing $20-$25 per competition for shelter, which I don't think is terrible. |

One of my canopies (Caravan from Costco) is out from April through November every year. That exposure takes a toll on the top.
After a couple of years, I replaced one of the tops with a Eurmax top, and I can say that I was very impressed with the quality of the top. So much so that I have ordered another top for my other 10x10. I paid $80 deliverd for the first one, but the price went up and the second one is costing me $90. (here's their ebay store: http://stores.ebay.com/eurmax4u?_trksid=p2047675.l2563 ) If their frames are anything like their tops, then I think you'll be happy.

We have one of the commercial QuikShade C-100's and love it. It's really heavy duty and the canvas seems thicker than most others.
