This was a real cool thing you did here....I'm awed by the way the bbq community has come out to support Justin.
You should all be very proud....

BBQ fundraiser results
What amazing thing happen 13 Jan 2007. We had 5 bbq teams from Va. Nc and Pa. to come to a little town in the mountains of va to help a 11 y/o Boy who loves BBQ. Ironically the little boy was in Memphis getting treatment.
There were many miracles that happen. One was we had about 5 pitmaster all great bbq cooks in there own right to come together at one time. There was not an ego in sight. One lady volunteer was amazed that we had all these guys working together and no argument. The other miracle was we had 300 people in the first hour. We were expecting 500 total we ended up with 700. Plus donations from all over the country. The community was so excite to see a group of BBq guys to come to there comunity and help out. One other miracle was the amount of volunteers that popped out of nowhere. It was unbelivable. A mother with an infant and a toddler volunteer to help. A man saw me struggling with a trash asked could he help with the trash. It makes me proud to be american that cooks bbq . It was a good day |
