Default Apple wood trade.

I have some apple I cut last Sept. Used some last weekend and it is good. I would like to trade someone for some pecan. Trade one of the USPS prepaid boxes full. Anyone up for it?

I just did a trade (pecan for cherry) but haven't got my cherry yet... any day now.
After seeing that flat rate box it seems like a buck a pound is alot for wood chunks.
Do you guys think $9 is a good price for the amount that you get in these little boxes?

I sent off three flat rate boxes of wood several weeks ago. It was a puzzle but I was able to pack em pretty good. I considered the three boxes I got in return even with what I sent out.

I'm sure the swap is fair, you get what you give.... but the question is this:
Would you pay $9 for the same pile of wood if it was on the shelf at your local BBQ supply store?

I would if I bought wood from the store. At the contets I'll be cooking at, I'll be selling bundles of apple & pecan for $8. Figure spectators might wants some as would other cookers.

I guess you could say the same for BBQ sauce trade. The adventure of it is worth something.

When you guys pack the wood in the box be careful that you don't put a moldy stick in there... it spreads fast and can ruin the whole box.

Am seriously looking for Pecan. Can't find it in the STL area, but might be willing to drive up to two hours from here to buy some. Any takers?
