Evergreen State BBQ Championship, Seattle WA - Sept. 13 & 13, 2008
Last comp of the year here in Seattle! Sept. 13/14

For some strange reason we're the only Brethren competing in this event...yet there are over 36 teams this year...go figure.
 And the weather will be perfect...Sunny and 80...  See you there! Load in is at 0930...save me a spot if you get there before me.

Olympic Mountain range  Seattle sunset   Fourth Place Pork  Brisket 20th  Chicken 11th  Ribs 9th  Awards Ceremony turned into a Media Frenzy!     Nice weather, beautiful setting, lotsa eye candy, and great friends! 36 teams from Washington, Oregon, California, Nevada, Wyoming and British Columbia participated here in Seattle. Thanks go out to Tom Douglas "Rub with Love" for sponsoring the event, Anthony and Christene James for organizing and running the show, Stacia Norris for keeping the Judges in line, all the judges that came out and stopped by to chat over the weekend, JD, Russ, Laren, Tim and Crackerjacks for vending and Lynnae-you are all awesome!

This was another fantastic year at this event. Sunny 80 degress, lots of fun competition, good vending and lots of eye candy (thats why our turn ins were off).

Gotta agree with Swamprb and Crackerjack...this was an absolutely beautiful weekend. I did ok for my first comp...23rd out of 38 teams. here are my scores...and a few pics.
Pork Butt...888, 787, 887, 877, 787, 777 Brisket...898, 777, 988, 787, 888, 967 Chicken...898, 897, 887, 767, 987, 997 Ribs...888, 899, 999, 888, 777, 866 My set up and partner...(wife Rhana).  Inside lookin' out...    Pulled pork...  Brisket...  Chicken...  I didn't get a shot of my rib box...must have been that eye candy thing...
