I am planning to attend the Am Royal as a judge this year. Anyone know of nearby hotels with shuttles to the event?

Just a note to let everyone know that the AR is moving to the Truman Sports complex this year. Adam's Mark hotel across the street has already jacked their rates up to $200+ night.

What advise do you have for a first time team of 2? I am starting to get a little overwhelmed at all there is to do. Now at a new local. any and all advise is welcomed.

Thanks,

i would suggest asking if someone in the KC area would like to hang out with you and help run boxes, wash dishes, etc. Depending where turn in is located vs. your competition site, it may be handy to have extra hands.

OK, Nate and everybody.

I passed your question about showers up the line.

The answer is YES, there will be showers available within walking distance for the teams
during the Royal.

The committee is still working on the details. If I hear any more I will post.

Hello my friend. Hope to get to spend some time with you at the Royal. Will look you up.

Info about parking is sketchy and sparse. I went to the Chiefs site and here is the link to the overview of the whole parking layout. Invitational side will be using lot C and D
and what was the Dark side will be using lots F and G so you can see what gates are best for getting in. Here is the link :http://www.kcchiefs.com/arrowhead/pa...ailgating.html

Instructions talk about team parking lot, but does not say where. No info on where the public lots will be.

I will email my connections with the Royal committee and get answers and post them on this thread as soon as I hear.

Open judges will park in lot E, Sun. Meeting for the open is at 11:00. Check in at 10:30, no wristbands or parking passes needed.
