Babbling Farker
Hey guys,
I had the pleasure (maybe luck) of winning my first ever backyward competition on my first ever competition attempt this weekend. I just got the raw number scores. I placed 3rd overall in chicken and 2nd overall in ribs which gave me overall backyard champ. I am wondering a couple things:
1) what is a best score points wise per judge with 6 judges? 36 points is perfect?
2) how big a "margin of victory" would this be considered?
I know this is only backyard, but I'm trying to get a feel for this whole judging thing. I'm "J Cubed BBQ" btw on the tally sheet.
Any insight is appreciated as I think this victory has (as many brethren already said it would) bolstered my thoughts on doing more competitions, and maybe even trying to make a forray with you big boy professional guys eventually.
Thanks for the input!
