About four or five years ago I couldn't find a single person that hated Wally World more than I did, but a couple of them (there's dang near 20 of them within 45 minutes) have really cleaned up nicely over the years. There's even one being built 10 minutes away and the local paper says that it's going to have a less trashy look and atmosphere than most Wally Worlds. Anyway, that's a monster find on whole packer briskets you got there buddy. I haven't seen a packer there for less than $35-$40+ in years.

Look I don't care for wally world!! Heck I will not go into the new one here unarmed but will not see me bash the store for making a profit! Umm that is why the are in business
Not sure where you were going with this post? The reason im mad is because most of the meat you see at walmart's across the usa most likely doesnt even come from the usa. So theres no reason prices couldnt be straight across the board state to state. The only reason its cheaper in some states is the competition from local cattle farms ..ect..ect And because there isnt a whole lot of cattle farms in my state, we get crap end of the stick. It is what it is.

Bad reference since the pics clearly state "product of USA" But ive seen alot that says from other countrys.

My complaint on Walmart Beef is it is slick when you take it out of the package.
(It's the best practice to wash any meat you buy...)

I just don't like that slick feel of their meat.

FWIW: You got a good buy. Meat prices have gone thru the roof
in the last couple of years.
Sticker shock gets me when I buy several Butts or a dozen racks of
St. Louis style Ribbs. I can't smoke em as often as I would like to...

No, not according to the Food Safety & Inspection Services:

I think you're supposed to boil them...not rinse them
Ok... I'll go to my room now

Nice find! I've never had luck with Wally's select briskets though.

If it doesn't have a grade on it, it is a "Select" grade cut.

I would think it was "ungraded". All meat HAS to be inspected, but not graded if the packing house cooses not to pay for grading.

Have some respect man@! Pick that meat up off the floor!

I wish we had such easy access to bisket up here. Restaurant Depot is about the only source. I paid $2.54/# last week. You're very lucky.

(and enough of the Walmart political commentary. This is Q-Talk)
