Smile Chibi-Q was at the Smokin Brew BBQ Competition today....LOTS of Pron pics and more!

Today I met up with "BigAl" from the Bretheren here...and we went to
See Chibi-Q while he was at a competition here today in Parker Colorado.
Chibi-Q is from Fort Collins Colorado...he very nicely allowed BigAl and
myself to invade his space and take some pics.

I tried to stay out of his way and not be a problem to him...but; still
tried to get some decent pictures for you all.
He used a Traeger pellet fueled smoker and another smoker (the red one)
that he built himself.

Click on each pic to view it normal size...then click it
again to see it giant size.

These first pics are of his setup.

Here he is checking the temp on a Brisket...then
checking some Chicken Thighs.

A front view of his smokers; & saucing some Baby
Back Ribs.

The finished Ribs...just before he cut them to turn
them in to the judges...the ribs he didn't turn in to be
judged; & some Pulled Pork that was left after he
turned in that for the judges.

Trimming the fat off the Brisket before turning it in
for the competition.

And some of the Brisket left over from what was
turned in to be judged.

Chibi gave BigAl and myself samples of his Chicken
Thighs & Pulled Pork & Brisket; as well as the Sauce
he turned in to be Judged.

I wasn't able to stay for the results of the contest;
but, everything he made was far better than what
you would get in any restaurant.

BigAl stayed for the judging and I think he will be
posting later with the results of the contest

Click on each pic to view it normal size...then click
it again to view it Giant size.

Talking

As Grillman said, the three of us met for the first time Sunday at the Parker KCBS sanctioned contest. 46 Teams competed at this first time ever event.

Chibi-Q team of Michael and wife, Jennifer along with their 2 well behaved, very cute and polite children are true representatives of what the Brethren spirit is all about. They let Grillman and I take pictures and sample their very good tasting BBQ and asked for our honest opinion on each entry including their sauce. Each of their BBQ items were excellent in texture, flavor and taste (way better than my home BBQ). I want to thank them again for letting us enjoy the day with them.

Grillman and I took very similar pictures and his above are outstanding so I will not post any of mine that are duplicates. Later, I will attempt to load all of mine with a link and show a few of the other competing teams.

Meanwhile, here are a several of my pictures, the chicken thigh was "bite through skin" and tasted great. The BB Ribs had more meat and were the best tasting that I have ever had period.

At the awards, Chibi-Q team got a call up to the front and finished 10th in pulled pork. Congratulations!
