Default SM Rub pack ordered now what to do for pork butt

I will be cooking for about 30 or 40 people and have never used any SM rubs nor have I ever used injections.

Don't like to do new things but want to use the products so any help would be great.

I see people have used multiple rubs in layers but dont touch on if they are light or heavy . Also should I use the injection along with the rubs?

I also have yard bird and bovine bold from plowboy. Will also have blues hog sauces on the side if people want to add. Have Tennessee Red and original. Will also do a 50/50 mix.

Need info before the 23rd of april.

Thanks in advance.

Pork and apples go together like pork and apples! I use the SM Spicy Apple rub on my pork pretty regularly and always enjoy it - i also use the Pecan rub on pork.

I often make an injection using the rub too; add a tablespoon of rub to a couple of cups of apple juice, stir until the spices to dissolve, then strain the liquid to remove any of the bigger bits of spice so they don't clog your injector.
