I read that it can be difficult to find 55 gallon drums. I just picked up 2 more open tops. A couple of family members saw mine, want one and I have fun building them.

Anyway this guy i North Jersey (http://newjersey.craigslist.org/for/1243528489.html) has food grade drums. They carried syrup so they are pretty clean for 20$.

Sounds like you have a great source for drums.

They are pretty difficult to obtain in my neck of the woods.

Can you get covers for your barrels from your supplier?
