250 gallon Cooking trailer rebuild by TQ and Tyler
A gentleman approached me about redoing his cooking trailer. Basically he had a direct cook cooker that was made out of very thin metal (16gauge) We talked and decided to take a 250 gallon tank and build him a direct cook cooker to be used with charcoal and wood. I generally do not like to work on a trailer that has already been built because they are not up to my standards. I basically redid most of the trailer when I got into to it I could not stop just could not let it leave, unless it was up to my standards and I try and set em high. Me and Tyler are the only ones that touch our products and that is just the way it is. The challenge for me initially was I wanted to leave both endbells on and have acess to the grates and in doing so let it look like a craftsman did it. So we came up with a plan
Original setup The beginning of the revamp the back had wood in it I foud out why it was covering up a mess starting the charcoal grate access we bought this new machine last week and Tyler finaaly let dad use it some welds with the new mig the top grate is fixed and only 14 inches wide charcoal and wood access stack damper we made the stack look like a chimney before i painted it finished product Bobby bobo was happy so I was happy I always show what Tyler is up to.... Still building bumpers we help each other out kind fun Tyler spraying abumper we built boxes and bumper for this truck just another bumper This what Ashley Tyler girlfriend does while we work .. that is a big deer for around here. Thanks for looking, thanks to those who are praying for my wife, she starts chemo next thursday..... Keep on praying!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And God bless... I hope I did not get the pics out of sequence I struggle with a computer give me a welder and I do just fine LOL!!!!! A fellow brethern asked about a pig so we cut this out and sent to him, not bad for freehand on 16 gauge stainless Last edited by TuscaloosaQ; 02-01-2013 at 09:10 PM.. Reason: add pic |

Jesus Christ I think you may be one of the best welders I have seen on here since that dude welded that boat a while back. A whole damn boat. I forget who that was. Nice design!

Since about Sept/Oct I've had so much to do here @ home and I've missed putting in my usual time here with the Brethren. You're family is now on my prayer list.
I have missed seeing these builds. I just wish I lived closer. I need one of them bumpers (the word "bumper" just does not seem to do his designs justice) for my FJ Cruiser. But I'd want it to be aluminum. I weld some. I do ok. You 2 are in a league of your own.

I have an offset on wheels(towable) that I would LOVE to let ya'll work your magic on.It is a good basic offset just needs major cosmetic work.Bad thing is it would cost me more in gas to tow it to Tuscsloosa than I paid for it! Ha!
