The rule says no cutting in to individual portions but can the large piece be cut maybe in half for the pic?

As I read that special rule , you've got to cook the whole cow, unbutchered. You're not even allowed to skin it.

Get some wood chips and make a foil bomb for some smoke.

You'd need a rather large plate for that!

Actually the rule states that it must be ONE portion, not that you can't cut into that individual portion. In other words, you can't cook a whole pork loin and then slice an individual portion. You CAN however slice a thick chop from a pork loin and then cook it. On your plated picture, you can cut into that individual portion, like say a fork shot to show the texture/doneness of your meat.

Oh I remember that one well and it even came to mind when writing that. I was giving those voters the benefit of the doubt that their comments were really tongue in cheek.

So not only do we need to roast a whole, unbutchered cow, but we also have to go get new serving plates! Triple-Fark! I suppose the cow is still alive when it goes in the smoker or died of natural causes?

Are forks mandatory? Since this is a man-sized portion could I use, say, a harpoon? Or a pitchfork? Wait... That's a fork.
