I found a couple of barrels at a local feed co -op store. THey are selling them for 15 $ each, I asked what was in them and the guy at the store said," They told me it was soap, it is safe to use them for animal feed" Well, giving the fact that I would have to burn them out good anyway, do you think they are safe to use, going by the statement that they are safe to use for animal feed???:decision:

unless they are glowing,in the dark. With a good cleaning, removal of the liner etc.and then a couple of burns you should be good to go.

Open the bung and smell. Soap has a pretty distinctive odor. I'd be comfortable with a soap drum for a UDS.

Used drums for sale at a local feed store here contained either molasses (used in horse feed) or vegetable oil (used in chicken feed).
