Thumbs up Testing New Toy on Easy Sausage Dinner

I tried out my new iGrill2 on some garlic and onion pork sausages for a quick dinner.
I slow grilled them to 140 IT and then braised them in Sol beer with some peppers and onions (salt/pepper/chili powder).
I braised them to 150 and then seared them off to 160. Rest and eat.

I didn't want my first time with the toy on something long like brisket or butt. By doing the sausages I was able to see if the alarms would go off at all of these different temps. It was easy to figure out and I love the phone interface where you can track the temps. It's going to be handy on larger cuts for anticipating and powering through stalls.

I'll probably test run it again with some chicken and on Friday I'm smoking a butt and my first fatty!

It was raining so I put the thermometer in a ziplock. The base is a giant magnet and just sticks anywhere for easy viewing.

Thanks for looking!

This one has 4 ports and comes with 2 probes. I think I'll probe my butt on Friday in two places to see how it does.

It's to keep them hot for serving.
