Default Birthday simplicity-pr0n

Yet another birthday sneaks past.

Had a nice day with my gal.
Simple and just what I wanted.

Italian salads, dressed with EVOO+ Red wine vinegar

Rib eye and baby potatoes with creme fraiche and chives from the garden.
Steamed the potaotoes, then pressed to pudge and break, then rolled them in buerre noisette I used for the steak.
A few G & T's to begin while cooking, Sade and Melody Gardot on the stereo,
and this absolute cracker with the meal

Finished with some birthday scotch.
Now that is a fine day!

Well now. Gorgeous. The bone in ribeye and taters look killer. No pic of the birthday hooch? Or did your memory get Scotched too? Happy Belated! How many spankings?

Thanks everyone!

I really enjoyed it last night, that wine was a special splurge and it was so good I am saddened by it's passing.

I practiced celebrating the day before Jeanie!
A policy I highly recommend!
The "Day before Birthday day".

Guess what today is?

I figured it out when I kept getting told by people I loved and wanted around for my birthday when I was young that they couldn't because they were busy then..., that the only way to go was to spread it out, surely on one of three days I would get to see them.
People are so committed at this time of year, even teens!

Tab Benoit- Must listen to this artist. A cross between southern blues,Stevie Ray, and Louisiana cajun. Great listening while having a brew and tending the stick burner.
