1st cook dedicated to my friend Jack
jack and his dad aren are a couple of good friends on mine. 1st time out is for you jack.
someone made some bacon bbq sauce. i thought i would try my own. mak full of bacon. a good thing. it had to be ribs. come on now. ya'll should know me by now. i thought long and hard on what rub would jack like. i got it. brown dog riba-riba rub. it has cocoa and chili mole in it. ohhhh. sounds tasty. everyone in the pool. perfect bacon. jack and i like sweets. so a little FL is in order. broke out my good NC honey for jack's ribs. melted some butter and added some maple syrup to it. added some chopped bacon (alot) and my twist. apple butter. 2 spoonfuls. yummmmm........ this stuff is so good it should be bottled. coming out of FL. fun time. all done and resting. cut them up. well, jack would want me to have some. ok, thanks jack. my son, wife and i sat at the counter and ate the whole rack. it was like pecan pie except better. oh, my gosh. what a great flavor. these were the most decadent ribs i have ever cooked. simply marvalous darling. the end.

A fine ode to bacon indeed! Nothing wrong with a little apple butter either.
