Good deals?

I was looking at buying in bulk, and saw that Costco (I'm a member) has these deals:

In particular, their spare ribs: 35 lbs @ $1.71 per pound

But, are these St. Louis style?

And, what is the yield in actual slabs? If each slab is 3.5 lbs, that would be 10 slabs, if I'm correct.


Now, onto spices. The thread earlier today by the lady looking to show her Dad & Uncle she knew something about sauces inspired me, so I ordered a bunch of spices from a place called Mild Bills:

The shipping seemed high: $19.40

The other option was overnight for $50.00 - Too much!

My plan is to accumulate a nice spice collection & to buy some kind of stand alone cabinet for them.

Good deals, or no?

In the Vermont Costco the ribs are spares (they also have loin back) so you have to trim the spares to St Louis cut yourself if you want them that way.

Did you ever buy any? Are they good quality?

I got 2 racks from my local grocery (Giant foods) a week ago and they were gawd awful! I swore I'd never buy ribs there again.

$1.69 per lb sounds good.
