I posted this a couple of days ago in the "sales and ventures" forum hoping that one of you would go and buy it. Alas, no one did, so I'm on my way to pick it up now and feed my Weber addiction. Thanks...

The fact that you admit to an addiction is proof that you don't have an addiction.

Or something like that.

Nice score on a a classic early 70s redhead!

There's another one for sale on the site for 40.00
You could have a set of twin redheads if you get it also.

Picked it up, no date code, so its pre-'79. Some damage to the paint/coating on one side if the bowl. The guy's kids had a bonfire in it years ago. The rest of it is in good shape, I'll post some pics later when I get it home.

Ok, so some preliminary research, says "pat pending" and "Arlington Heights, Ill" on the lid vent, has 3 daisy wheel vents on the bottom of the bowl, hard rubber tires/plastic rims, wooden handle, and the wire web triangle rack. I'm guessing '68-'70? What do you guys think?

Small adjustment tab on the top vent.

I'm pretty confident in saying it's pre 74 for sure.

Nice catch. I didn't see your post before, or I might have bought it. My dad lives about ten minutes away from the seller.

Oh well, It is probably better that I didn't see it.
