Unhappy I Got A Bad Butt

First one ever and it was the ones I got at Sam's and froze. It was also the one we eat last night for supper. All 3 of us got sick but have rebounded, it could have been a lot worst. I'm not sure why I couldn't detect it last night and there was no odor before cooking. Threw it out and checked the 2 I got at the pig and there OK. But I get so paranoid with things like this, I just may throw them out as well. Cold you couldn't really tell, but once it heated up it was very obvious.

Be Careful with your meats!!

Bobby, I had the same thing happen, smelled and felt fine when starting, stunk and tasted horrible when cooked. I don't really know why I tasted it. Well, I do, after cooking it and all the effort, I really had to test it. Rotten. I feel for you, made me a tad nervous about buying from the butcher for a while.

Sorry to hear that - nothing worse than spending all that time cooking just to get sick.

I'm not sure I'm understanding you. It smelled bad when you warmed it up or cooked it? Yet, you still ate it?

Just for you; I had not unwrapped it since I coolered and put in the fridge. Last night I already had the onions cooking when I sliced it up and made the sammies. House smelt nothing but onions. But today when I went to eat more, I realized it was bad then.

Smelt fine when I was washing to prep.

Have onions cooking in the oven right now, so I know where you're coming from. Shame to have a cook ruined like that.

I've been lucky so far. I threw some meat out before cooks and some right off the smoker, some thing just didn't look or smell right.
