Default BBQScores.com looking for feedback from Comp Teams

Everyone,

We are locking for feedback from you about our website?

What do you like, don't like, need help with or would like us to add?

We are looking at what enhancement we will add for 2015. We have some enhancements coming soon! Can't wait to announce the enhancements coming in the next couple months.

Looking forward to your feedback.

Thanks.

OK here's a Couple

  • I'd like to see Competitions Competed in changed from various radio buttons to a drop down list incremented by 1 so I can compare all the teams that have competed in the same number of contests as I have
  • I'd like to be able to select a number of teams and have the ToY stats shown in a side by side column format.

A power ranking / KCBS ToY widget that I can use on my website like the Pickled Pig used to have.

I would like to see geolocation used for contests. The KCBS site should really do that, but maybe BBQscores could.

For example, let's say I'm going to a contest a long distance away, and I want to see contests that are in the same area around the same date.

I would like to put in a geographic location, and see contests within a certain distance and date range from that location. I believe Pickled Pig had a feature like this before it went away. It's more to help with planning future contests, but might also be interesting to see the locations (on a map) of contests I have participated in.

Not sure that is one that we would tackle. So many times the guaranteed payout on kcbs is less than what is actually paid out. I am not sure how we could do that.

We are looking at adding a note pad where a pitmaster could make their notes for an individual contest in the system so he has his notes right there for each contest.

yeah, what if that was also a vote towards the quality of the contest that could be seen by other teams in question of whether its a good contest or not

Might consider adding another column and pulling in the actual contest date Making the date searchable or searching on a range could be a nice to have. For example, searching from Sept 1 2013 to present.

well my first thought is that you would include the prize money for the contests that are using your management system. make the payouts required. allow teams to search by payouts and then match up who won what.

besides once you get the data direct from kcbs what are you going to do with all your free time?

Great to hear about the FBA Stan, thanks!

You didn't ask and it's probably already addressed, but I always thought a great way to keep it fair based on the size of the contest was to make the GC points awarded = the total number of teams competing in all 4 categories. 100 team contest the GC gets 100 pts, RGC 99 pts, 3rd 98 pts and so on. That way a 20 team GC (20 pts) doesn't earn the same amount of pts as a GC of a 50 team contest (50 pts). Just a thought...

and one more.............

Make all the team comparative data downloadable as either an excel file or a comma delineated file.
