Can 2 separate teams share the same space and but separate cookers? This is just an example not something that happened:

I cook an event and so does my buddy. We each use out own wsm's but do all of the prep work etc out of the same trailer. Is this legal? Has anybody ever done this before?

3. Each team will be assigned a cooking space. Pits, cookers,
props, trailers, motor homes, vehicles, tents or any other
equipment (including generators) shall not exceed the
boundaries of the team’s assigned cooking space. All
seasoning and cooking of product shall be done within the
assigned cooking space. Teams shall not share an assigned
cooking space or cooking device.

So if you were in someone else spot... you'd be violation of the rule for sharing... and I guess for technically having your gear outside the boundries of your own cooking space. Also... if you want to get real technical about it, even if you had your own spot- were inspected there, when you bring your meat outside your site you broke another rule about meat not leaving a teams site.

I have seen it done before. But it was a special situation where a few teams didnt show up and the organizer was allowing teams to split so that it could be an official state championship. They still had to use separate cookers though.

In most cases this is against the rules.
