Well I did a test run on my uds last night. Loaded it up with some kingsford and throttled it down to hit my target of 275. I hit the target temp around 5 pm last night, it is now 6 am and just took a peek at her and its still at 275. I cant believe it! I think i'm going to like this ugly thing. I'm using the drum lid for now until I can find me an old weber somewhere.

Grats! I'm hoping to get going on my UDS after the holidays. Glad you're finding success.
