Default New/Old Vertical Chicken Stand

I scored this:

...at Goodwill for $2.99. It is over 30 years old NIB (yes new in the box, never used) Recipe book is copywrited 1979!! Looking at the box shows what it consists of. A stand for the chik, a plug like thingy, a plate that fits on top to butter meltin over the chik, and skewers for other things like hanging hot dogs, pork chops, ka-bobs, and what ever!!

Haven't used it yet but plan to. Can be used in the over or the grill/and or smoker. Although not a beer can cooker the metal legs are suppose to radiate the heat to the inside of the bird to assist in cooking.

I figured what the h^ll, I'll give it a try. By the way you hang the skewers from the top piece and let the food dangle!! Butter in the top tray like thing is suppose to baste the chik and brown the skin. I would guess you do this about an hour into the cook. Book also has some recipes in it.

Well I though some would enjoy.........??

Sure will, I sorta can't wait myself, maybe in the next week or two.

I'll do a side by side with a regular beer can chik setup.

That roasting stick looks big enough to use on a turkey.
Have you had a chance to check out the recipes??
