Tender Smokehouse vs anything else

Texas BBQ revolves around the Top 50 list that Texas Monthly Magazine releases every couple years. Mainly the opinion of their writer Daniel Vaughn. I have not eaten at Tender but Daniel Vaughn did. He said it was good but it did not even make the top 50 list. Have a look at the Texas Monthly top 50 BBQ (only the top 10 are in order) and find some spots in Dallas that catch your attention and judge for yourself. I know Cattleback not far from Little Elm was top 10. Me personally, if I were to drive up to Dallas, Cattleback Barbecue would be the #1 spot I would try. Maybe Pecan Lodge after that. Some good spots are starting to pop up in Ft Worth too now.
