Brethren Brewmaster114 (Matt) at Meyer Metal Works made a cooking grate for my UDS a few weeks ago. Thank you again Matt!
I love it and didn't want to get it dirty!

my drum... (it's getting old but still works well)

Matt made the grate based on my "sitting by the campfire in my favorite chair" pic.

I should have taken an "after" pic of the dirty grate. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. :becky:

Thank you again Matt, I love the grate. You do excellent work!! :thumb:

Thanks for looking!

There is nothing about that that doesn't totally rock! :clap2:

Thank you Allen, Smokendink and Terry! It really is too nice to get dirty but it's too late now.
I love the grate, it's really heavy duty! Matt did a nice job.

I forgot to post a link to his site...

That is some beautiful craftsmanship. I'll keep MMW in mind if I ever need any new gadgets fabricated. You also need to tell us about that pork braid. It looks wonderful.

Grate looks fantastic! So does the food! Going to have to google that braid :D

Thanks Mark! Matt does nice work!
I got the braid recipe from a friend in Germany. I had a list of spices to use but not the amounts. lol I used a teaspoon of each.
He uses pork neck meat but I didn't have any so I used pork tenderloin.
After cutting them in strips I seasoned them with a mixture of
oregano
garlic-2 cloves minced
onion powder
paprika
coarse salt
cummin
rosemary
peppercorns
coriander
and celery salt

after braiding the pork I brushed them with olive oil. I also brushed them one time during the cook. The cook took about 45 minutes.

It was tasty, I hope to make them again. :)
Thanks Mark!
