I don't have a large cooking area but with my kettle and my Jambo....I also have a camp stove with a high pressure burner on one side and a regular low pressure burner on the other. One of my FAVORITE things is to oil up the cast iron skillet and fry either cube chopped steak or chicken tenders outside.....to me the flavor is the best AND....no grease in the kitchen!!!!!!....Needless to say my significant other LOVES it when I fry outside!!

I just cooked a delicious pot of Old VA Brunswick Stew on the stove tonight. Everyone enjoyed it very much for dinner. Cooking is cooking. While I much prefer to cook outdoors, I still like to cook no matter how I have to do it.

I have been an avid cook ever since I went off to college and my mom sat me down and walked me through her recipes. In college I cooked most of the meals for my roomies and myself - they made spaghetti and the like, I made my mom's Indian dishes. When I met my wife many years later, I probably did most of the cooking, but she caught up pretty quickly. Now she does most of the traditional Indian cooking and the baking, while I cook mostly outdoors, but many other items indoors as well.
We make a great team!

I cook inside and out. I am getting soft as I TEND TO NOT FIGHT THE RAIN lately. Good excuse to play with the cast iron skillet inside. Love to play with my deep fryer too. I just like cooking in general. Home made sauerkraut a recent addiction. Always have pulled pork and pork ribs in the freezer for emergency deployment!

Generally I just use my standard bread recipe, but I use olive oil for the flavor. Big thing for pita bread is making sure they're pretty thin, and that your stone is HOT. Then blammo, perfect pita bread. My standard recipe is: 300g warm water. 2 T.B Sugar. 2 T.B. Oil. 1/2 T.B salt. 500g bread flour or half bread flour and half whole wheat flour. 2 ts. yeast. Typically I'll triple or quadruple that recipe, and make pita bread and bread loaves from that. I typically weigh the pita bread out to about 3 or 4 oz. of dough, that makes the pocket size my family enjoys. Wanna say about 7" and 1/4" thick or somewhere around there.

My wife is a great cook, and while we were younger and had kids at home she cooked dinner virtually every night, along with all the other homemaking stuff because I worked much later than she did. As we got older, I started cooking more and more, both inside and out. Now that we are empty nesters and she tutors kids in math until 10:00 most every night, we eat out more than I like, but I now do probably 75% of the cooking, inside and out. I started out as a breakfast specialist (pancakes, waffles, eggs, breakfast tacos, etc.) and branched out to everything else. She does pretty much all the baking, though. My daughter married a guy who manages the meat department at a local supermarket. He goes to work at 3:00 AM and gets back home at noon or so. He cooks supper every night and is a darn good cook, although he pretty much just wings it as far as recipes go.
