Bought some previously flash frozen Salmon that had been thawed in the seafood case on ice Tuesday evening at Dillons Grocery. I was wondering how many days I can keep it in the fridge before cooking.

I would say 3. Fish does not keep long. How long was it thawed for at the grocery store?

Personally, I always cook fish as soon as possible. While it is safe to eat for a few days, it still degrades. As I get older, my stomach is more sensitive to the aging. A fish that is two days old (while still safe and good to eat) will make me burp and the frequency of these burps increases with the age of the fish. Yep, I've got a built-in freshness burpometer! :thumb: Usually though, the fish will tell you when not to eat it.

If it smells like fish it's already to late.
