Contest Results Windy City BBQ Classic 2013

We had about 2,000 people show up to eat food from over 20 restaurants, drink craft beer from 5 breweries (they all poured from Lagunitas Truck, so it looked like only Lagunitas, but there was plenty of beer) and all had a good time. MASSIVE undertaking for a crew of 3 planners/producers, with the help of over 100 AWESOME volunteers. We are donating $5,000 to Operation BBQ Relief from the event, and we didn't lose too much money !!

Real Urban BBQ won People's Choice, followed by One stop Shop - a group of young guys who built their own smoker, don't own a raunt, and the only other people's choice team that stayed up all night (other than us) cooking with all wood to serve fresh shoulder all day long...they were thrilled to win 2nd, and it was my favorite part of the contest...Smoque was 3rd.
